Characters & Creatures
A collection of some characters and creatures that were created as exclusive content for my Patreon page as well as during my time as the Lead Concept Artist for an indie game company.
Pieces were made during the years 2021 - 2024 and are shown in no particular order, but are separated between Patreon Creations and Orcus Concepts.
Patreon Creations
This duo is the beginning of a world I've slowly begun building up where magic runs wild and the world is rich with history.
The Frilled Frop is inspired by the abilities of the axolotl and mantis shrimp - regeneration and powerful punches, respectively.
A fantastical faerie-like race known as Letalyrr is a fusion between the Pokémon Spritzee and the D&D Monster Orog.
The Munchki fakemon evolution line was prompted by my desire to create a rarely or never used typing duo from the popular games. Each design draws inspiration from the ancient proverb "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" that is often depicted with Three Wise Monkeys - Mizaru, Kikazaru, and Iwazaru. There is also the oft forgotten fourth monkey - Shizaru who represents "do no evil".
My prompt for Alistair's creation was: a grumbly apothecary from a hidden valley hamlet. He took on an owl motif naturally.
Blythe was the very first character I explored and shared on Patreon. She was created from the prompt: a Half-Orc who has always wanted to open their own flower shop.
Orcus Concepts
These are a series of concept pages I created during my time working on the Fantasy RPG title as Lead Concept Artist. Each page is filled with notes detailing my thought process and building the lore around each person and creature I created, entwining them with the world they belong to. Only a select few are shown here, otherwise you would be scrolling forever.
